Distributing Srila Prabhupada's Original Books to UK Schools

Our new 'Bhagavad Gitas for Schools' programme has been a big hit since we launched it in March 2023.

Inspired by the Christian charity 'Bibles for Children', which has distributed half-a-million Bibles to children in 2,300 schools since 1997, our aim is ensure that every school throughout the UK has a copy of Srila Prabhupada's 'Bhagavad Gita As It Is' by 2030.

Just last week, another 20 copies of Srila Prabhupada's original books were delivered to sixth formers (17-18 year old's) at a secondary school near Swindon.

The Hare Krishna Project's Narada das said: "We were invited to a school near Swindon to speak with A-Level Religious Studies students about Krishna Consciousness and Srila Prabhupada’s mission in the West. Everyone took part in Kirtan and was given one of Srila Prabhupada’s books to take home (unedited, pre -1978)."
