The Hare Krishna Project in Bangladesh 

In 2026, The Hare Krishna Project established it’s first branch outside of the UK…in Bangladesh.

Led by Priya Sarkar, the group meets regularly in the village of Khulna for kirtan, Bhagavad Gita readings, association and a scrumptious prasadam meal.

Priya has been a follower of The Hare Krishna Project since 2024, and became quickly impressed by the initiative’s grassroots approach to preaching, its book distribution programme and the strong focus on inclusion and acceptance of others.

Born and raised in Bangladesh, Priya has been following the teachings of Srila Prabhupada for many years.

An enthusiastic advocate for education, and teaching others about bhakti yoga, Priya is dedicated to sharing the message of The Hare Krishna Project with people living in her community.
